Hezké datum 10/10/10 se stává velmi důležitým milníkem v historii operačního systému MorphOS. 10.10.10 v 10:10 vydává MorphOS Team novou verzi MorphOS 2.6, která mimojiné přináší podporu hned 9 modelů Apple Power Mac G4 počítačů! Narozdíl od posledních MorphOS platforem - EFIKA 5200B (od MorphOS 2.0), Mac Mini G4 (od MorphOS 2.4), eMac G4 1.25 GHz (od MorphOS 2.5) se nyní jedná o opravdu pořádný nášup nově podporovaného hardware pro MorphOS a opomenuta by neměla být ani velká rozšiřitelnost Apple PowerMac G4 platformy. Ať už se jedná o AGP, několik PCI/IDE/RAM slotů opět ve stylu originální Genesi/bPlan PegasosPPC I a II platformy, tak dále pro Power Macy jsou k dispozici i různá zajímavá rozšíření od třetích stran - např. CPU karty s novějšími PowerPC G4 procesory a na frekvencích originálně až 1,8 GHz (taktovatelných i na 2,1 GHz). Rozhodně nastává velká éra testování MorphOS 2.6 na všemožných Power Mac G4 konfiguracích a určitě se můžeme těšit i na nové MorphOS uživatele.

Interní zvuk je podporován pouze u 6 novějších modelů PowerMac3,4 - 3,5 - 3,6 s použitím AppleI2S AHI ovladače. Pro starší modely 3,1 - 3,2 - 3,3 je možné použít pro MorphOS (i Mac OS X) PCI zvukovou kartu, např. Soundblaster Live!
NVIDIA GeForce2 MX a NVIDIA GeForce4 MX/Titanium grafické karty, které lze nalézt v některých PowerMac3,x modelech, nejsou podporovány.
Rozšíření podpory grafických karet ATI:
Nově je podporována historická grafická karta ATI Rage128Pro, která byla dodávána ke starým Power Macům.
Byla přidána také podpora Radeon9600XT/Pro a Radeon9700Pro do Radeon ovladače (avšak pouze pro 2D).
Další změny:
Vylepšený Intuition - nová optimalizovaná a konfigurovatelná lišta (Title.sbar), dvouklik na hodiny otevře nastavení hodin (Clock.sbar), ...
Do lokalizace přibyla podpora chorvatštiny, albánštiny, turečtiny a islandštiny. Byly aktualizovány stávající překlady včetně češtiny.
Byly opraveny některé problémy s rychlostí sungem síťového ovladače pro Mac Mini.
Byla zlepšena automatické detekce Mac HFS boot oddílu při instalaci/aktualizaci MorphOS.
Integrované Reggae pro multimediální podporu nyní podporuje 64-bit souborový systém.
